Wearlink 31 Coded Hrm Compatability
What current models will this Heart Rate Monitor work with? I purchased years ago with an S410 Unit.

If the Transmitter Module you have reads "WearLink Coded", then that is the version you have.

The WIND and Hybrid versions clearly read such on the front.

Mine does not have a T on it so can I assume it is the middle one in this matrix or the T31 Coded? Thanks for all your help.

Yes the middle column! The WearLink designation refers to the entirely textile/fabric chest strap with the two snaps in the front center. The same WearLink strap is interchangeable and works with any of the three (3) transmitter modules (Coded, WIND, Hybrid) needed by the respective HRM. (Note: It may also be interchangeable with the Bluetooth version as well.)

The T designated chest straps (coded and non-coded) are the ones with the semi-rigid plastic front strap section, and they do not offer user replaceable batteries.

I have a polar RCX5 and I have tried with two wearlink 31 coded hr transmitter units and there is no communication between Hr transmitter and monitor. GPS G5 and S3 work OK. Also tried with a WIND transmitter unit and it does connect perfect.
So this compatibility matrix is not true, is it?

The RCX5 when in a Swimming type Sport Profile will use the 5KHz analog signal for HRM data. In the Running and Cycling type Sport Profiles the RCX5 uses the 2.4 GHz Digital signal for HRM data. The wearlink 31 coded transmitter only sends the analog signal.

Try the Swimming Sport Profile or define (Add) a Custom Sport Profile using the Swimming Type via WebSync.
